How Can You Get Involved?
Bridge of Hope Lebanon County is always seeking talented, caring individuals to help grow our innovative organization. Following are ways you can volunteer and help to build hope by bridging the gap in our community!
Be a Prayer Partner
The prayer ministry of Bridge of Hope Lebanon County is intended for those supporters who would like to commit to praying for the participants, mentors, program, staff, board members, and volunteers. No meetings required! If you are interested in praying for this ministry on an ongoing basis (one week, one month or longer), please start today and email or call the office at (717) 685-1231 to let us know you are a prayer warrior. Time requirement is flexible and minimal.
Be a Bridge Builder
The Bridge Builder ministry is intended for individuals who are willing to serve as "bridges" between this organization and their home church. No meetings required! Just help us get the word out by ensuring that Bridge of Hope events are publicized in the church and serving as an ambassador by speaking to fellow church members about the organization. If you are interested in serving as a Bridge Builder, please email or call the office at (717) 685-1231. Time requirement is flexible and minimal.
Be a Team Member
Be a member of a team that contributes and works in its own unique way to end and prevent homelessness in a meaningful way. Standing teams of the organization include: Board Service, Development (includes church relations), Finance, Marketing and Special Events, Program, and Property. In some cases meetings are necessary. If you are interested in learning more about these teams or serving as a member, please email or call the office at (717) 685-1231. Time requirement is flexible and minimal to moderate.
Be a Board Member
Are you tired of "bored" meetings? Are you interested in joining a dynamic group of people who like to get things done and done well? Do you follow-through with what you say you will do? Then you might be a candidate for the Board of Bridge of Hope Lebanon County.
Applications are now being accepted from individuals who volunteer and are able to meet or exceed the following minimum requirements: be an active member of a church, commit at least three hours of time to the organization per month, serve as an ambassador to the community, make a financial donation each fiscal year, and attend eight out of twelve board meetings per year. If you are interested, please email Deb Wolford, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors or call the office at (717) 685-1231 to obtain an application. Time requirement is semi-flexible and moderate to advanced based upon the board member's personal level of commitment.
Be a Financial Supporter
Bridge of Hope Lebanon County provides financial assistance to our clients through rental assistance, tuition, medical costs, car repairs, and in many other ways. It costs approximately $10,000.00 to sponsor one family through the 12-18 month program. We depend on gifts from churches, individuals and businesses, as well as some grants.
Your gift of any amount will help to ensure the continuation of this mission by providing a "hand- up" to single parent families that are working hard in their efforts to become self-sufficient.
